Joy Gilson, MA(psych), PG Dip (HG Therapy), MHGI, CCC Reg
Joy is a qualified teacher with many years experience of working with children in inner London Schools. She has also worked extensively as a therapist with troubled adolescents throughout the country, holding contracts with Connexions, Children Leaving Care services local schools and other agencies involed with the care of this age group. Her qualifications include Masters Degree in Psychology and Education from London university, Post Graduate Diploma in Speech and Language difficulties, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Brief Psychotherapy from the Human Givens perspective. She has a particular interest in Aspergers and Autism. She is a full member of the Human Givens Insitute. Joy has experience and training in bereavement counselling, as well as dealing with the whole range of stress related problems of anxiety, depresssion, trauma, OCD, and addictions. She sees individuals privately at her practice in Brighton/Hove and can travel to clients if necessary.
She also has legal training in Mental Health Law, experience in Employment and Special Needs Tribunal representation and has acted as an expert witness.
