Case Studies & Testimonials

Freedom From Addiction.

Harold was in his late twenties
and following some debilitating and life threatening experiences in late teens found himself leading a fairly directionless, backward looking life. He drank a lot and from time to time found himself drinking so much in pubs that he lost all sense of what he might have done. This caused him a lot of anxiety. We worked to change the way Harold saw and emotionally responded to his life - particularly helping him get a future focus. And from this new perspective, Harold could begin to make and implement plans for both his professional and personal lives. With a different focus and stress levels much lower, Harold also gained control of his drinking.

Recovering from Trauma

Justin, a forty year old businessman
came to see us in a very agitated and confused state. He had suffered a disastrous fire in his flat three months previously and since then had felt progressively out of control. He was sleeping badly, anxious at work and increasingly unwilling to be with his friends and daughter. Justin was clearly suffering from PTSD and so we used the Rewind to relieve the traumatic memories. A week later, Justin phoned to cancel the second session as he was ‘supercharged'. Without this treatment, Justin would have found his life getting more and more difficult - perhaps soon finding himself on anti-depressants, losing his job and finding relationships hard to sustain.

Ending Phobia

Naomi, a young woman
had been scared of needles since a child. She feels she learnt this from her mother and now when she needed to visit a hospital for regular tests; it was becoming a major problem. In just one session, we successfully removed the emotional arousal linked to needles. Naomi reported back a fortnight later - the next hospital visit had passed off without a hitch.

JS Secondary School Teacher
J attended one of our Training days and asked if we could help with her chronic snake phobia. This phobia had caused serious difficulties for many years. J could not enjoy normal activities with friends and family and became particularly anxious in certain teaching situations - particularly field trips.
After just two sessions the phobia had completely gone. J responded by email to us:
“This is the biggest thank you my computer can muster. I can't tell you how brilliant it feels. Thank you, thank you, thank you.”

Lifting Depression

Kate, a 60 year old married woman
with two adult sons was suffering yet another bout of debilitating depression - and sleeping badly and lacking energy and motivation. The past depressions had only lifted slowly and previous counselling, had not made an immediate difference. Kate came to us just three times. We explained why she was depressed in terms of her sleep patterns and helped to change these by helping her worry less and being more active. We also identified the guilty feelings from way back which were the triggers for her depression and helped Kate to remove their capacity to affect her using trance work, knowing this would of course help Kate in the future. After these three sessions, Kate was again leading a fulfilling life and even more important, was confident that depression would not again return to haunt her.

Helping Teenagers

KB aged 17yrs.
K had been bullied six years ago. She had developed flashbacks, low self esteem and depression. Recently she had been self harming. We identified the worst of the bullying incidents and did a V/K rewind - a technique that allows traumatic memories to lose their traumatic qualities. With some self-esteem building and rehearsal of success in the second session this was sufficient for K's trauma and depression to end. Her parents, friends and her Connexions PA all testified to a remarkable change in K's behaviour and emotional well being.
K reported to the independent evaluator “ I felt like I'd been touched by an angel. Thank you for giving me my life back”

RC aged 18yrs.
R had suffered a sexual assault several months ago and had developed a post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) which was badly affecting her life.
After just two sessions she said: “ Thank you very much. I feel calmer and happier. All my symptoms have gone. All Young People should be able to have this kind of help. It is so much better than the other counselling I have been to.”
